The Lee's Summit Symphony, under the direction of Russell E. Berlin, is embarking on their sixth season by offering a wide range of symphonic music. The Holiday Magic concerts will be family oriented and include The Sleeping Beauty Suite from the ballet by Tchaikovsky and will feature ballet dancers from the Steppin’ Out Arts Academy, Many Moods of Christmas by Robert Shaw/Robert Russell Bennett showcasing a community choir of approximately 150 voices, and other Christmas favorites including Santa Claus! The Spring Classic will include Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz, Symphony No. 8 by Dvorak, and the Pines of Rome by Respighi.
